Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and every client deserves to feel informed, respected, and empowered throughout the counseling process.
Your Rights as a Client
As a client of Vine & Branch Counseling, you have the right to:
Be treated with dignity and respect.
Ask questions about the counseling process.
Participate in decisions regarding your treatment.
Receive information about fees, policies, and services.
Decline or discontinue therapy at any time.
Request referrals to other providers when appropriate.
Receive services that are free from discrimination.
Confidentiality
Your privacy is taken seriously. The confidentiality of counseling sessions is protected by law, with certain exceptions required or permitted by law. These exceptions, along with your rights and responsibilities as a client, are explained in detail within the informed consent documents you will receive before beginning therapy.
Questions or Concerns
Open communication is encouraged. If you ever have questions about your care or concerns regarding services, you are encouraged to discuss them directly with Katie whenever possible. Many concerns can be resolved through honest conversation.
