What I Charge

Payment is due in full on the day of your session. For your convenience, a credit card is securely kept on file and processed automatically before each appointment.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 48 hours' notice.

• Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours' notice are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

• Missed appointments without prior notice ("no-shows") will be charged the full session fee.

Cancellation and no-show fees are subject to applicable legal restrictions.

Vine & Branch Counseling is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance.

If you have commercial insurance with out-of-network mental health benefits, I'm happy to provide a superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your insurance provider and is not guaranteed.

If you're interested in using out-of-network benefits, I recommend asking your insurance provider:

• Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

• Have I met my out-of-network deductible?

• What percentage of each session is eligible for reimbursement?

• How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

Having Medicare, Medicare Advantage, or Medicaid doesn't necessarily mean you can't receive counseling at Vine & Branch.

While my practice remains exclusively private pay, these programs have specific requirements that apply even when clients choose to pay out of pocket.

Medicare & Medicare Advantage: Clients may receive services through a Medicare Private Contract, provided the applicable requirements are met. This agreement confirms that the client is responsible for session fees and that Medicare will not reimburse services provided under the contract.

Medicaid: Private-pay arrangements may also be available for Medicaid clients, depending on their coverage and applicable regulations. Additional documentation may be required, particularly for clients who have both Medicare and Medicaid.

If you have coverage through any of these programs, please let me know before scheduling so we can make sure the appropriate arrangements are in place.
